To provide the service, we collect the following categories of data:

  • Identity data: first name, last name, date and place of birth, gender, marital status
  • Contact data: email address, phone number, postal address
  • Identity documents: ID document type and number, delivery date and location
  • Rental data: lease contracts, rental properties, rental history
  • Financial data: bills, payments, payment method, billing history
  • Technical data: IP address, device type, browser, connection timestamps
3. Legal Basis for Processing

Processing of your data relies on the following legal bases:

  • Your explicit consent, collected on your first login
  • Performance of the service contract between you and RentiPlus
  • Compliance with legal obligations (accounting, tax, regulatory)
  • RentiPlus's legitimate interest in ensuring platform security and proper operation
4. Use of Data

Your data is used exclusively to provide the RentiPlus service, manage your rental properties and rentals, generate your documents (invoices, receipts, contracts), send you account-related notifications, and ensure platform security.

5. Data Sharing

We never sell your data to third parties. Your data may only be shared with our technical subcontractors (hosting, email, payment gateways) under the strict framework of service delivery, subject to confidentiality agreements, or with competent authorities where required by law.

6. Retention Periods
  • Account and profile data: retained for the duration of your subscription and up to 3 years after account termination
  • Financial data (bills, payments): retained for 10 years in accordance with Cameroonian accounting obligations, even after a deletion request
  • Personal data not tied to accounting records may be deleted on request, subject to processing by our team
7. Your Rights

In accordance with Loi n° 2024/017, you have the following rights over your personal data:

  • Right of access: obtain a copy of your personal data (JSON/ZIP export available from your "Security" area)
  • Right of rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data from your profile
  • Right to erasure: request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations
  • Right to portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Right to object: object to certain processing based on our legitimate interest

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures (encrypted communications, access control, backups) to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure, in accordance with Loi n° 2010/012 on cybersecurity.

9. Supervisory Authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with Cameroon's Autorité de Protection des Données Personnelles (APDP) if you believe the processing of your data does not comply with applicable regulations.
